2009 Competition
The opportunity to participate in the 2009 Western Australian BioGENEius Challenge is now available.
Students are invited to submit their nomination forms, with the support of their science teachers, by 18 September 2009. This competition will close in early February 2010. The top two students selected as the Western Australian Regional Finalists will compete in the sanofi-aventis International BioGENEius Challenge 2010, at BIO2010 in Chicago, Illinois, 2-5 May 2010.
Students will be merit selected based on their nomination then matched with suitable researchers working within the field of biotechnology, who will mentor them through their research projects. The Department of Commerce is developing a network of researchers from all universities and research institutes to be mentors for student projects.
