Draft Model Rules

In 2007 and 2008, Consumer Protection conducted community consultation on a set of draft Model Rules, which were aligned to the draft Associations Incorporation Bill 2006 (the Green Bill).
Consumer Protection set out to develop the draft Model Rules to help new and existing incorporated associations comply with the proposed new legislation.
Consumer Protection conducted the consultation in partnership with Aha! Consulting under the name "Make Your Own Rules" . Through the process, Incorporated Associations across the State were given the opportunity to contribute to the development of the draft Model Rules.
Changes to the draft model rules will be made when drafting of the new legislation has been finalised.
