Land Valuers Licensing Board
The Land Valuers Licensing Board
The Land Valuers Licensing Board is responsible for the licensing individuals who conduct valuations of land. The Board is responsible to the Minister for Commerce in Western Australia.
The Board administers the licensing system for land valuers and contributes to the public policy agenda by making recommendations for legislative amendments to the Minister.
Land valuation process
The process involves inspecting the property, ascertaining legal ownership and the interest held and gathering relevant information such as the prices that similar properties sell for.
Other factors come into the valuation, such as the saleability of the property or its value for mortgage purposes. Land valuers provide valuations of many different types of real property such as residential, commercial, industrial, rural and horticultural properties.
