Top plumbers sought for $2,500 prize

Western Australian plumbers and their customers have only a few more weeks to nominate a plumber for the inaugural Master Plumbers Association Award for Excellence to find 2005’s plumber of the year.

Up for grabs is a trip for two to Hamilton Island with airfares and accommodation valued at $2,500.

The winner will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by the Master Plumbers Association in October and the event is tipped at becoming a professional benchmark for the industry over the coming years.

Any licensed plumber who has completed work in Western Australia within the past twelve months can self nominate or be nominated by a customer, colleague or family member.

The excellence awards recognise the progress and reforms that have been seen within the industry in recent years including the introduction of the Plumbers Licensing Board and associated compliance framework.

Nominations are in recognition of quality workmanship, commitment to customer care and professional knowledge and skill.

Nominations must be received by 5pm on Friday September 2nd 2005.  Further information or an entry form is available from Sascha Arnold at the Master Plumbers Association on telephone 9272 5244 or emailing saschaa@mpawa.asn.au.
