ULP price alert - start of new price cycle in Perth
Issue Date: - Friday, 7 December 2007
FuelWatch is encouraging Perth motorists to buy their petrol today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to always check petrol prices before they buy.
Tomorrow (Tuesday 4 December) several Caltex sites are increasing their unleaded petrol (ULP) prices up to 145.9 cents per litre (cpl) with some BP sites going to 144.9cpl. This signals the start of a new petrol price cycle in Perth.
Perth’s petrol prices generally follow a two week cycle. Petrol prices currently increase during a two to three day period and then slowly decrease over the next week and a half.
More than 200 (73%) petrol stations are selling below the metropolitan average of 133.8cpl tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP is 128.1 cpl available at
Coles Express Middle Swan in the East;
Coles Express Edgewater in the North; and
Coles Express Southern River in the South.
Motorists can find the cheapest prices by checking the FuelWatch website at www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au or by phoning 1300 550 808.
