Fuel price advice for Perth drivers
Issue Date: - Tuesday, 10 November 2009
Fill up today or tomorrow if you want to pay less for your petrol – that’s the advice from FuelWatch.
In line with the regular price cycle, prices are expected to jump sharply over the next few days. Tomorrow, Wednesday 11 November 2009, most BP and some Caltex sites are increasing their ULP prices to 129.9 cents per litre (cpl) - an increase of up to 16.4 cpl.
Other brands are expected to follow later in the week. Prices should start to get cheaper by the weekend.
With the weekly cycle in Perth prices increase sharply during a two to three day period and then slowly decrease for the remainder of the week. Not all brands move their prices at the same time so there is a wide variation.
FuelWatch advises drivers to ALWAYS check the price of petrol before they buy.
65 per cent of stations in Perth – that’s a total of 193 - will be selling below the metropolitan average of 116.0 cents per litre tomorrow.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 109.5 cpl at Gull High Wycombe in the East;
- 106.9 cpl at Coles Express Mt Lawley in the North; and
- 106.9 at Coles Express in Maddington and Coles Express Casuarina in the South.
