In accordance with the recommendations of the Economic Audit Committee, the department undertook a Value for Money Audit of its activities in 2009. The audit identified potential savings and operational efficiencies, principally in the reduction of leasing and infrastructure costs by co-locating the department's existing multiple sites into one location. The department is working on implementation of the remaining recommendations of the audit.
