Choice of superannuation fund

Many employees have the right to choose which super fund their superannuation contributions are paid into. In the Western Australian state system, employees who are covered by awards or agreements that have superannuation provisions included in them must be provided with choice of fund.

Employees who are not covered by an award or agreement, or whose award does not mention superannuation, are not eligible for choice of fund. Wageline has an Superannuation - Choice of fund fact sheet [PDF 930kb] to help you understand choice of superannuation fund.
