Alcoa

Alcoa operates the world’s largest integrated bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and rolling system in Australia. Smart Burn Pty Ltd has demonstrated sustainable environmental leadership by inventing the “unique” SmartBurn device that improves combustion efficiency in wood heaters, enabling the fire to burn up to 17% hotter and reducing smoke emissions by up to 50%.

This exciting technology has prevented an estimated 904 tonnes of smoke emissions from entering the atmosphere.
