On 23 November the State Administrative Tribunal found that Centex Australasia Pty Ltd and Mr Rick Bantleman had breached section 7(1) of the Code of Conduct for Agents and Sales Representatives 2011 (WA) by not acting fairly and honestly.

On 21 April 2017, the Court of Appeal overturned this decision and dismissed the case against Mr Bantleman and Centex Australasia Pty Ltd.
