Free access to the National Construction Code series

Future online editions, commencing with the 2015 National Construction Code (NCC), will be freely available to registered users, commencing with access to a free preview of NCC 2015 (both online and in PDF) prior to its adoption date of 1 May 2015.

From 1 February 2015, users are able to access NCC 2015 which includes:

  • Volume One (Building Code of Australia for Class 2 to Class 9 Buildings);
  • Volume Two (Building Code of Australia for Class 1 and Class 10 Buildings);
  • Volume Three (Plumbing Code of Australia); and
  • the Guide to Volume One.

To register for access to the NCC 2015, or for further information, please follow the instructions on the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) website.

It should be noted that NCC 2014 remains in force until 30 April 2015 and hard copies will still be available for purchase through the ABCB online shop until 30 April 2015.

The Building Commission is working towards adopting Volume Three (Plumbing Code of Australia) of the NCC in Western Australia, which means practitioners will be able to access and preview the code before it is adopted.
