Fill up today or tomorrow if you want to pay less for your petrol – that’s the advice from FuelWatch.

On Wednesday 23 March 2011, some BP sites are increasing their ULP price to 149.9 cents per litre (cpl) - an increase of up to 10.0 cpl.

However, most petrol stations in Perth will be selling for less than 139.4 cpl tomorrow.

Given that Perth ULP prices follow a weekly cycle, with Thursday and Friday being the most expensive days, FuelWatch recommends filling up today or tomorrow and paying no more than 139 cents per litre.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 135.9 cpl at Caltex Starmart High Wycombe in the East;
  • 135.9 cpl at two sites in the North; and
  • 136.1 cpl at three sites in the South

FuelWatch advises drivers to ALWAYS check the price of petrol before they buy.

Motorists can find the cheapest petrol via a free daily email from FuelWatch – simply head to www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au to subscribe. More than 40,000 people are already signed up.
