WorkSafe investigates death of worker at Esperance

WorkSafe is investigating the work-related death of a 31-year-old meat processing worker at a worksite in Esperance this morning.

The woman was believed to have been working with machinery.

Inspectors are travelling to the site to investigate the circumstances.

WorkSafe thoroughly investigates serious work-related injuries and deaths in WA with a view to preventing future incidents of a similar nature.

WorkSafe WA Acting Executive Director Ian Munns said any work-related death was a tragedy, and relayed his sincere condolences to the woman’s family.
