WorkSafe investigates death of worker at Osborne Park

WorkSafe is investigating the work-related death of a worker at a glass manufacturing premises in Osborne Park today.

The man was believed to have been in an area where large containers of glass sheets were being moved when one fell over, striking him.

Inspectors travelled to the site soon after and will interview witnesses and investigate the circumstances.

WorkSafe thoroughly investigates serious work-related injuries and deaths in WA with a view to preventing future incidents of a similar nature.

WorkSafe WA Commissioner Lex McCulloch said any work-related death was a tragedy, and relayed his sincere condolences to the man’s family.
