2. Layout and structure
Unlike the first edition, the guide is now available online on Consumer Protection’s website. This has resulted in a more interactive information tool, whereby the reader/user can be taken directly to a useful website (or a specific part of a website) or to another part of the guide itself. This also allows for easier updating of information.
The guide is structured in 7 separate sections grouping together relevant topics.
Sections A & B - provide an introduction to incorporated associations and the process for becoming incorporated.
Sections C & D - contain information that will be relevant to every association, regardless of its purpose or size.
Section E - contains other information regarding running an association that will be of interest to some associations, depending on the scale and nature of their activities.
Section F- details the process for winding up an incorporated association and explores alternative corporate structures.
A summary of key points is also provided at the end of each chapter.
