2. Layout and structure

Unlike the first edition of the guide this revision is available online on the Department's website. This has resulted in a more interactive information tool, whereby the reader/user can be taken directly to a useful website (or a specific part of a website) or to another part of the guide itself.

The guide is essentially structured in two parts. The first part comprises Sections 1 to 11. These contain information that will be relevant to every association, regardless of its purpose or size. Sections 12 to 18 will be of interest to some, but not all, associations, depending on the scale and nature of their activities. A summary of key points is provided at the end of each chapter.
