Events and seminars

Building and Energy is currently offering the following events and seminars:

Reforming the approvals system for commercial buildings

Building and Energy encourages building professionals involved in the commercial building sector, including apartment buildings, to attend a free information session on the Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement titled ‘Reforms to the approvals process for commercial buildings in Western Australia’ (the CRIS).
The reform proposals respond to the Building Confidence Report by Professor Peter Shergold AC and Ms Bronwyn Weir that made 24 recommendations to improve the building approval process.

The CRIS contains 27 reform proposals on various aspects of the building process which Building and Energy is seeking comment on.
The information session will step through these reform proposals. For AIBS members, the presentation will be very similar to that given at the AIBS WA Conference, on 25 October.

Engineers Australia and the AIBS have indicated that this session is eligible for CPD credit for their members. Check with your professional association for eligibility for CPD credit.
