Board examinations – painters

This page is for:

The Building Services (Registration) Regulations 2011 (WA) have been amended, removing the Building Services Board examinations as a qualification pathway for painting practitioner registration.

Currently, painting practitioner applicants under set 2 and 4 are required to demonstrate sufficient experience equivalent to that possessed by a person who has completed the 52202 Course in Painter’s Registration.  The regulations currently allow the Board to conduct examinations to assess this knowledge and skill in relation to painting work. The examinations will only be available between February and June 2018, and applications need to be submitted on or before 31 August 2018.
