Building surveying practitioner registration
New registration (first time)
Under the Building Services (Registration) Regulations 2011 you can be registered as a building surveying practitioner (level 1 or level 2) or as a building surveying technician.
If you wish to be registered as a building surveying practitioner you must complete the appropriate registration form below and return it to the Building Commission.
If you currently hold a certificate of qualification issued by the Building Surveyors Qualifications Committee, you will be taken to be registered as a building surveying practitioner (level 1 or level 2) or as a building surveying technician.

Time frame for application processing
Most building surveying practitioner applications are determined within six weeks. You can assist by submitting all of the information required in your application and allow sufficient time for it to be fully assessed.
- Form 29 – Building surveying practitioner (level 1)
- Form 30 – Building surveying practitioner (level 2)
- Form 31 – Building surveying technician (set 1)
- Form 32 – Building surveying technician (set 2)
