About NICS

NICS is a strategy developed by all Australian States and Territories which, together with New Zealand, make up the Legislative and Governance Forum on Consumer Affairs (CAF). NICS membership is comprised of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), all State and Territory Fair Trading offices, Australian Securities Investment Commission (ASIC) and independent member, the Indigenous Consumer Assistance Network (ICAN).

This reference group takes responsibility for the National Indigenous Consumer Strategy and has established an effective collaboration when dealing with issues of mutual concern.
