The Motor Vehicle Industry Advisory Committee (MVIAC) provides advice to the Minister and Commissioner for Consumer Protection (Commissioner) on the regulation of the motor vehicle dealing and repair industry in Western Australia, including the licensing, certification and training of individuals or businesses engaging in motor vehicle dealing and repair. 

The MVIAC also advises the Minister and Commissioner on the provision of education, information and advice to consumers and to the motor vehicle dealing and repair industry in Western Australia and on any matter referred to the Committee by the Minister or Commissioner. 

The MVIAC is established under the Fair Trading Act 2010.
