ULP price alert – prices increasing tomorrow
Issue Date: - Tuesday, 13 October 2009
FuelWatch is encouraging Perth motorists to buy their petrol today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to always check petrol prices before they buy.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 14 October 2009, most BP sites in Perth are increasing their ULP price to 124.9 cents per litre (cpl), an increase of up to 16.0 cpl. This signals the start of a new petrol price cycle in Perth.
Some Caltex sites in the Mandurah area are also increasing their price tomorrow by up to 16.0 cpl to 124.9 cpl. Motorists in that area are advised to shop around for the cheapest prices before filling up.
Tomorrow, 202 (69%) Perth petrol stations are selling below the metropolitan average of 111.8 cpl.
"Tomorrow, the difference between the most expensive brand, BP, and the cheapest brand, Coles Express will be 12 cpl so I encourage motorists to search for the cheapest price in their area before filling up," Deputy Prices Commissioner Aaron Rayner said. Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP is available for
- 106.9 cpl at 4 sites in the East;
- 106.9 cpl at 28 sites in the North; and
- 105.8 cpl at 2 sites in the South.
- 106.9 cpl at 2 sites in Mandurah
