How to pay your electrical licence fees

Renewal

Paying your electrical licence renewal fee is now even easier with our new online renewals service

To use the new renewals service you will need to know your licence number (which can be found on the front of your licence).

Also, in order for us to safeguard your personal information, you will need to have an email address or mobile telephone number currently recorded with EnergySafety so that when prompted, we can SMS and/or email you your personal one-time security access code.

Renew your licence, pay your renewal fee now!

If you are not yet ready/able to use the online renewal service, you can still pay your renewal fee by other methods. EnergySafety sends renewal notices, showing the amount due to be paid to renew a licence, approximately 30 days prior to the expiry of the licence.

Note: It is the licence holder's responsibility to keep a licence current and they are not permitted to carry out that prescribed scope of work beyond the expiry of that licence.

Payment of a renewal fee can be made by:

  • BPAY - contact your financial institution to pay by credit card or debit card using the BPAY service - this service requires the reference number on your renewal notice.
  • BPOINT - pay by telephoning 1300 27 46 12 for Mastercard/Visa - this service requires the reference number on your renewal notice.
  • In Person - at EnergySafety, 1st Floor 303 Sevenoaks Street (entrance Grose Avenue) Cannington WA 6107.

Remember, if you change your address, notify EnergySafety immediately so we can send renewal notices (and other correspondence) to your current address.

New application

Payment for new licence/permit application forms are required at the time you submit your application.  Without payment your application cannot be assessed.

New applications can be submitted and paid for by:

  • Post - to Locked Bag 14, Cloisters Square WA 6850 by cheque or money order made payable to Department of Commerce.
