Below is an outline of the some of the important partnerships that the Industry Development Directorate has established with organisations and agencies for the delivery of economic benefits to Western Australia.

 

Department of Communications and the Arts

The Department of Communications and the Arts is the Commonwealth government agency responsible for the Mobile Black Spot Programme (MBSP). The rollout of the MBSP in Western Australia is being managed by the Industry Development Directorate in partnership with the Department of Regional Development and industry under the banner of the Regional Telecommunications Project.

 

Office of the Government Chief Information Officer

WA innovators are the beneficiaries of programs that the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO) offer with support from the Industry Development Directorate.

Department of Regional Development (DRD)

The DRD manages Royalties for Regions funding. It is through this very important program that the Regional Telecommunications Project and the Regional Buy Local Initiative receive funding.

Department of Industry, Innovation and Science

The Commonwealth Department of Industry, Innovation and Science is responsible for the establishment of the Australian Industry Participation National Framework and the administration of the Australian Jobs Act 2013.

The Industry Development Directorate works closely with this Commonwealth Government agency on initiatives that support Australian industry participation.
