A wild fire occurred near Parryville on 7 March 2007. EnergySafety carried out an investigation into the cause of the fire and determined that the fire started when a 22 kV conductor clashed with an underslung earth wire, releasing hot metal globules that fell to the ground and ignited dry grass.
