In 2014, the former Western Australian Government released a version of the model Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws (known as the “Green Bill” ) for public comment.  50 submissions were received proposing changes to the “Green Bill”.

The “Green Bill” was not progressed before the election in 2017.  The McGowan Government has announced a new process to bring mine safety and general safety  under a single Act, based on the model WHS laws.  To inform discussion on these new proposals, submissions made in relation to the “Green Bill” that were not marked “confidential” have now been made available.
