WA Chief ScientistProfessor Lyn Beazley is our Chief Scientist of Western Australia (WA).

A Professor of Zoology at the University of Western Australia and former leader of the WA Neurotrauma Research Program, Professor Beazley is well recognised for her work in mapping the pathways through the brain and central nervous system to better understand how to cure neurotrauma.
 
The Chief Scientist plays a part in providing the State Government with advice on topics that are important to the future direction of science and innovation in WA. 

Professor Beazley brings extensive experience to the role and has been appointed as an ambassador and advocate between the science community, industry and government.

As one of ScienceNetwork WA’s Ambassadors for Science, Professor Beazley belongs to a growing network of the State's most eminent scientists, researchers and fieldworkers from leading scientific organisations.

The office of the WA Chief Scientist is now located at the Department of Commerce on Level 7, 1 Adelaide Terrace, East Perth, WA 6004.
