Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 14 December 2022), the average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 24 cents per litre (cpl) to 185.3 cpl. Coles Express and 7-Eleven hiking by between 40-46 cpl up to 199.9 cpl; EG Ampol up to 195.9 cpl; BP up to 194.9 cpl; Ampol and Caltex/Puma up to 193.9 cpl; and Vibe up to 193.5 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 39 individual sites offering petrol below 158 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying petrol from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 47 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $28 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 155.9 cpl at Coles Express Forrestfield in the East;
  • 152.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina (membership required) and 153.9 cpl at Coles Express Bentley, Coles Express Langford, Coles Express Myaree, Coles Express Waikiki and Coles Express Willetton in the South; and
  • 153.9 cpl at Coles Express Duncraig, Coles Express Mount Lawley and Coles Express Warwick in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 157.5 cpl at Better Choice Bellevue in the East;
  • 152.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina (membership required) and 153.7 cpl at United Myaree in the South; and
  • 153.7 cpl at United Northbridge in the North.
