Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 1 March 2023), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by over 23 cents per litre (cpl) to 191.4 cpl. Caltex hiking by up to 44 cpl up to 209.9 cpl; Puma up to 209.7 cpl; EG Ampol up to 205.9 cpl; Vibe up to 205.5 cpl; 7-Eleven, Ampol and Coles Express up to 203.9 cpl; BP up to 199.9 cpl; and United up to 197.9 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 33 individual sites offering prices below 168 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 50 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $30 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

• 162.9 cpl at Ampol Foodary High Wycombe in the East;
• 159.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 160.5 cpl at United Perth Airport in the South; and
• 163.3 cpl at Metro Malaga in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

• 163.9 cpl at Ampol Foodary High Wycombe in the East;
• 159.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 160.9 cpl at Liberty Gosnells in the South; and
• 163.3 cpl at Metro Malaga in the North.
