Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 29 March 2023), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 25 cents per litre (cpl) to 194 cpl. BP and EG Ampol hiking by 34-36 cpl up to 203.9 cpl; Ampol up to 201.9 cpl; 7-Eleven, Caltex/Puma and Coles Express up to 199.9 cpl; Vibe up to 199.5 cpl; and United up to 194.9 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 37 individual sites offering prices below 170 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 41 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $24 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 162.9 cpl at FastFuel 24/7 (Forrestfield) in the East;
  • 160.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport and Costco Casuarina (membership based) and 163.5 cpl at Vibe Ascot and United Perth Airport in the South; and
  • 165.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 163.5 cpl at Atlas Fuel Forrestfield in the East;
  • 162.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport and Costco Casuarina (membership based) and 163.5 cpl at Vibe Ascot in the South; and
  • 164.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos in the North.
