Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today, motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 24 May 2023), the average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by over 29 cents per litre (cpl) to 191.3 cpl. 7-Eleven hiking by up to 46 cpl up to 205.9; Ampol and EG Ampol up to 203.9 cpl; BP, Caltex/Puma and Coles Express up to 199.9 cpl; Vibe up to 199.7 cpl; and United 195.5 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 31 individual sites offering prices below 160 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 51 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $30 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 158.7 cpl at Puma Glen Forrest in the East;
  • 156.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport and Costco Casuarina (membership required) and 157.5 cpl at Liberty Gosnells, Liberty Naval Base, Liberty O’Connor and Vibe Kwinana OPT in the South; and
  • 155.3 cpl at Liberty Tapping and Vibe Wanneroo in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 159.9 cpl at Shell High Wycombe in the East;
  • 156.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport and Costco Casuarina (membership required) and 157.5 cpl at Liberty Gosnells, Liberty Naval Base, Liberty O’Connor and Vibe Kwinana OPT in the South; and
  • 154.9 cpl at Vibe Wanneroo in the North.
