Doing business with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) during the current COVID-19 lockdown

This announcement is for:
Employee / workerEmployer

The Premier announced that Perth, Peel and the South West regions of WA will be entering a hard lockdown until 6.00pm, Friday 5 February 2021.

While DMIRS is well prepared to deal with the current situation, the lockdown may impact planned business activities and meetings with the department in these regions during the week.

Our regional offices, except the Bunbury and Collie offices, remain open and regional staff will be providing all our usual services.

Statutory obligations remain in place, so if you need to meet any regulatory requirements please continue to use our online systems which remain open.

You may still contact our staff directly, but if they are unavailable when you call please leave a message so they can call you back.

Any planned meetings with DMIRS staff can be organised to be held via video or teleconferencing.

With most of our staff working from home, our counter and telephone contact centre services are unavailable.

You can still contact our various divisions via email for urgent matters. The relevant email addresses are posted on our website at: www.dmirs.wa.gov.au/content/contacting-dmirs-during-lockdown.

If required, the department will provide further updates on our website at: www.dmirs.wa.gov.au/content/dmirs-covid-19-coronavirus-information.

Thank you for your patience and consideration during the lockdown period.
