The 1 July 2024 versions of the Wageline WA award summaries, which include the rates of pay applying from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2024, are now available. The new state minimum rates of pay for award free employees have also been published.

The state minimum wage for employees 21 and over will increase to $918.60 per week. Minimum rates for younger workers and award free trainees and apprentices will also increase.
Rates of pay in WA awards will increase by 4%, with rates of pay for some WA award adult employees 21 years and older increasing by more than 4% to align with the new state minimum wage of $918.60.
This year’s increase in the state minimum wage reflects the WA Industrial Relations Commission’s decision to re-align the state minimum wage to the level of the C13 classification in the State Metal Trades (General) Award.
