Wednesday 11 March is World Plumbing Day

Initiated by the World Plumbing Council and celebrated annually, this international event raises awareness of the important role of the plumbing industry in protecting public health and safety and the environment.

Just think how different our Australian lifestyles would be without the availability of clean drinking water and basic sanitation. This is something that affects us all and we have the work of plumbing contractors, inspectors, installers, engineers and manufacturers to thank for it.

The Building Commission is partnering with the Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association (WA) this World Plumbing Day to promote the valuable contribution plumbers make to Western Australian communities.

Thank you plumbers

The Building Commission oversees the regulation of plumbing services in Western Australia and supports the Plumbers Licensing Board in its work to protect the community from disease, injury and property damage which could result from the failure of plumbing equipment or systems.

The Building Commission is driving significant reforms focused on modernising the plumbing regulation framework. View information and obligations for licensed plumbers.
