In July 2016, the Building Commission circulated an updated set of Building Commissioner approved forms for use under the Building Act 2011.

An indefinite period was provided to allow the community, industry and permit authorities time to transition the updated forms into their relevant systems. It was considered acceptable during this transition to use previous approved versions of the forms.

Please be advised that from 1 January 2018 previous versions of the forms will no longer be considered approved by the Building Commissioner as feedback suggests that an appropriate transition period has been provided.

Building approval forms are available on the Building Commission website.
