Building and Energy Covid-19 safety advice

Industry practitioners would be well aware that the Government of Western Australia has declared a State of Emergency and a Public Health Emergency in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. There are now Directions under the Public Health Act and the Emergency Management Act on various topics e.g. business closures, travel restrictions, mass gatherings and self-isolation. Industry practitioners must make themselves fully aware of the Directions provided.

Industry associations such as the Housing Industry Association and the Master Builders Australia WA provide regular updates and guidance for their members.  For more information refer to www.hia.com.au or www.mbawa.com. The Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of Western Australia www.masterplumbers.asn.au and the National Electrical and Communications Association www.neca.asn.au/wa/wa_home have also developed information for their members.
