Information sessions for permit authorities

Building and Energy is presenting important information sessions for permit authority staff who are involved in processing building approvals or are in a compliance role in respect to enforcement under the Building Act 2011.

The sessions are intended to provide clarification of various topics, relating to building control, specific to permit authorities.

Topics to be presented in the upcoming sessions will include:

  • Stop the clock.
  • Enforcement for unauthorised work.

The same content will be presented at the following four locations.

Plumbing induction sessions

Building and Energy holds free information sessions for licensed plumbing contractors. These sessions will help to clarify plumbers' obligations under the Plumbers Licensing and Plumbing Standards Regulations 2000 as well as provide an opportunity to meet with other licensed plumbers, and talk to Building and Energy plumbing inspectors. New licensed plumbing contractors and existing licence holders in need of a refresher course are invited to attend.
