Regional information seminars – Building engineers registration scheme

Building and Energy is running three, free regional information seminars about the building engineer’s registration scheme.

The seminars will explain how the new registration scheme will work, who is included in the scheme, how to get registered and other important information for applicants and industry.

Registration commences from 1 July 2024 for structural and fire safety engineers and from 1 July 2025 for civil and mechanical engineers.

Who should attend
The seminar is for building engineers who work in the areas of civil, mechanical, structural and fire safety engineering and fire system designers.

Other interested building industry parties are welcome, such as builders and building surveyors.

Geraldton

Bunbury

Plumbing induction sessions

Building and Energy holds free information sessions for licensed plumbing contractors. These sessions will help to clarify plumbers' obligations under the Plumbers Licensing and Plumbing Standards Regulations 2000 as well as provide an opportunity to meet with other licensed plumbers, and talk to Building and Energy plumbing inspectors. New licensed plumbing contractors and existing licence holders in need of a refresher course are invited to attend.
