Due to the health risks associated with COVID-19 the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) was unable to deliver the 2020 National Construction Code (NCC) Seminars. Instead they have produced 12 videos which are focused on highlighting changes included in the NCC 2019 Amendment 1.
The videos are available to watch for free on the ABCB YouTube Channel or from their Resource Library.

Building and Energy will be presenting information outlined in the recently released consultation paper proposing changes to the Building Services legislation.

Registered building surveyors are invited to attend a free information day hosted by the Building and Energy Division of the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.

Places are limited due to Covid-19 restrictions. Registered building surveying practitioners (BSP) will be given priority and will need to enter their BSP number when registering through Eventbrite.

Building and Energy holds free information sessions for licensed plumbing contractors. These sessions will help to clarify plumbers' obligations under the Plumbers Licensing and Plumbing Standards Regulations 2000 as well as provide an opportunity to meet with other licensed plumbers, and talk to Building and Energy plumbing inspectors. New licensed plumbing contractors and existing licence holders in need of a refresher course are invited to attend.
