WorkSafe Mines Safety and Professor Michael Quinlan, author of Ten Pathways to Death and Disaster hosted a series of free, interactive workshops on fatality prevention in the mining industry in August 2023.

Data from the 2017-2019 Mines Safety Roadshows was used to:

  • examine which of the ten pathways are most relevant to WA mining operations
  • look at how the roadshow data compares to current trends and understanding
  • analyse the potential causes of fatalities and disasters in the WA mining industry
  • provide a focus on how the ten pathways align with requirements under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.

This roadshow presentation was recordered and is now available.
