Expanded qualifications for a licence

The Land Valuers Licensing Regulations 1979 (WA) (the LVL Regulations) now include an expanded list of qualifications which can be used to obtain a land valuer’s licence in Western Australia.

The LVL Regulations now recognise the qualifications accepted by the Australian Property Institute (API) for membership as a Certified Practising Valuer.

This means that there are many more qualifications you can use to apply directly to Consumer Protection for a land valuer’s licence. Of course API membership as a Certified Practising Valuer can still be used to demonstrate your qualifications and experience.

The list of qualifications that can be used to be eligible for a land valuer’s licence is available on our Land Valuer's application requirement page.

Information about applying for a land valuer’s licence is also available on our Licensing – Land valuers page. If you have any queries, please contact our licensing team on 1300 30 40 64 or by emailing cplicensing@dmirs.wa.gov.au.
