Changes to licensing of motor vehicle consignment sales in WA

A review into the regulation of consignment sales under the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act 1973 (WA) has resulted in proposed changes. To find out more about these changes, please read the Decision Regulatory Impact Statement (DRIS) on the reform of the regulation of motor vehicle consignment sales.

In order to lawfully sell vehicles on consignment, a dealer must apply to the Commissioner for the removal of the condition prohibiting consignment selling. This form needs to be completed to assist in the assessment of the dealership’s financial viability.

All directors, partners (or directors of any corporate partners), or the sole trader must sign the Authorisation and Declaration on page 2.
