WA award summary - Clerks (Hotels, Motels and Clubs) Award

This publication is for:
Employee / workerEmployer

This publication is a summary of the Clerks (Hotel, Motel and Clubs) Award (Clerks HMC Award).

On 19 December 2023 the Area and Scope clauses of the Clerks HMC Award were updated to expand the coverage of this WA award to a broader range of clerical employees and their employers.

The key change to the coverage of the Clerks HMC award is that it now applies to employees engaged in clerical work in the “hospitality industry”, rather than the industry of “Hotel, Motel, Club and Service Flats”.

Visit the Changes to coverage of the Clerks Awards page for information on changes to the Clerks HMC Award and two other key clerical awards.
