Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 28 June 2023), the average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by over 28 cents per litre (cpl) to 192.7 cpl. Coles Express and BP hiking by between 43-46 cpl up to 205.9 cpl; 7-Eleven, Caltex/Puma, EG Ampol and Ampol up to 203.9 cpl; Vibe up to 203.5 cpl; and United up to 189.9 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 26 individual sites offering prices below 162 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 47 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $28 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 159.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Midvale, Atlas Fuel Midvale, BP 2go Morrison Road (Midvale) and Petro Fuels Swan View in the East;
  • 158.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 159.7 cpl at 7-Eleven Bentley, 7-Eleven Booragoon, 7-Eleven Cockburn Central in the South; and
  • 159.9 cpl at 16 sites in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 159.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Midvale and Petro Fuels Swan View in the East;
  • 158.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 159.7 cpl at Vibe Ascot and Vibe Welshpool in the South; and
  • 159.9 cpl at Liberty Banksia Grove and Liberty Landsdale in the North.
