The festive season is fast approaching and employers can get prepared by checking the pay rates employees must be paid on public holidays and other public holiday employment obligations.

This season's public holidays are:

• Christmas Day, Monday 25 December 2023
• Boxing Day, Tuesday 26 December 2023
• New Year’s Day, Monday 1 January 2024.
