Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 19 April 2023), the average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 22 cents per litre (cpl) to 200.3 cpl. Caltex/Puma hiking by up to 38 cpl up to 213.9 cpl; 7-Eleven, BP and Coles Express up to 209.9 cpl; Ampol up to 207.9 cpl; EG Ampol and United up to 205.9 cpl; and Vibe up to 205.7 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 27 individual sites offering prices below 175 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 44 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $26 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

• 172.9 cpl at NightOwl Shell Bellevue in the East;
• 169.9 cpl at United Perth Airport in the South; and
• 171.9 cpl at United Bassendean in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

• 173.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Forrestfield and FastFuel 24/7 in the East;
• 169.9 cpl at United Perth Airport in the South; and
• 171.5 cpl at Liberty Tapping in the North.
