Alert to Perth motorists - fill up now to beat the petrol price rise

This announcement is for:

Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 14 June 2023), the average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by over 28 cents per litre (cpl) to 193.8 cpl. BP hiking by up to 42 cpl up to 207.9 cpl; Coles Express, Caltex/Puma, Ampol and EG Ampol up to 205.9 cpl; Vibe up to 205.5 cpl; and 7-Eleven up to 203.9 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 27 individual sites offering prices below 163 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 49 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $29 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

159.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Midvale in the East;
158.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 161.5 cpl at Liberty Gosnells, Liberty O'Connor, United Anketell, United Armadale, United Bibra Lake, United East Victoria Park, United Hamilton Hill, United Kewdale, United Leda, United Maddington, United Myaree, United Perth Airport and United Southern River; and
160.5 cpl at Liberty Tapping and United Tapping in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

159.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Midvale in the East;
158.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 160.9 cpl at Vibe Kwinana OPT in the South; and
160.5 cpl at Liberty Tapping and United Tapping in the North.
