Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today, motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 13 September 2023), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 31 cents per litre (cpl) to 220.8 cpl with BP hiking up to 232.9 cpl; Coles Express, 7-Eleven, Ampol, EG Ampol, United and Caltex up to 229.9 cpl; Puma up to 229.7 cpl; and Vibe up to 229.5 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 28 individual sites offering prices below 190 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 51 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $30 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 185.8 cpl at Petro Fuels Swan View and in the East;
  • 181.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport (Costco sites are membership based) and 181.9 cpl at Coles Express Myaree, Coles Express Southern River and Coles Express Westfield in the South; and
  • 183.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Banksia Grove, Coles Express Banksia Grove, Coles Express Duncraig, Coles Express Ellenbrook, Coles Express Kingsley, Coles Express Wanneroo Pearsall, Coles Express Warwick, EG Ampol Ellenbrook and United Ellenbrook in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 186.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Forrestfield and Atlas Fuel Midvale in the East;
  • 181.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport, 183.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and 185.3 cpl at Burk Camillo in the South; and
  • 185.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos and Metro Malaga in the North.
