This year’s Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) WA Chapter Conference will be held at the Joondalup Resort Hotel in Connolly on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 October 2013.

The theme is WA Building Act How do we measure up? with the conference set to examine the impact of the new building control system in Western Australia since the introduction of the new Building Act on 2 April 2012.

Presenters will include Building Commissioner Peter Gow and representatives of a range of key industry associations.

The Building Commission will also contribute to a pre-conference training day on the Wednesday before the conference.
