Easter is almost here and before the long weekend begins, employers and employees in the state industrial relations system should check their employment entitlements for the Easter period.

The Western Australian public holidays for the 2021 Easter period are:

• Good Friday – 2 April
• Easter Monday – 5 April

• Restaurant, Tearoom and Catering Workers Award

While Easter Saturday, 3 April is not a public holiday in Western Australia, some WA awards require employees to be paid additional rates on this day.
