Apply to renew my high risk work licence

High Risk Work Licences are valid for 5 years.  If your application to renew is received before your licence expires you can continue to work, until a decision on the application is made. Applications to renew can be made up to 12 months after the licence expires.

Follow these 3 steps to renew your licence. 

Step 1: Gather the required information

Have the following information ready before applying to renew your High Risk Work Licence:

  • Digital passport quality photograph (taken within the last six months)
  • High Risk Work Licence number
  • Email address or mobile phone number currently recorded with WorkSafe
  • Residential address 

Step 2: Prepare to pay

Have a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) ready to make your payment. 

Step 3: Submit your application

If you have your digital passport photo, High Risk Work Licence number, email address or registered mobile phone number, and valid credit card you're ready to go!
