The regulator can grant a group of people an exemption from complying with a regulation of the Work Health and Safety Regulations. These are referred to as a class exemptions. It is important to read class exemptions closely to see if they apply to you, and if you cannot meet all of the conditions but you are seeking an exemption, apply for a specific exemption.

• Granting of exemption from requirement(s) of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 - Regulation 275: Item of plant registration document to be available

• Granting of exemption from requirement(s) of the Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 - Regulation 246: Items of plant to be registered - for 30 day period.  Please note: The exemption is valid for a period of 30 days after the application for item of plant registration has been made to the regulator
